We are seeking a forward-thinking computer science/engineer candidate to develop the next generation of autonomous capabilities for Unmanned Aerials Systems (UAS). In this role, you will be, working with real-time image processing, and developing embedded vision algorithms. Algorithm development will include feature identification, object detection, classification, tracking, 3D scene reconstruction, multi-sensor fusion, and parameter estimation.
As an aerospace engineer at Bihrle Applied Research Inc., you’ll be exposed to a wide range of interesting projects related to aircraft flight dynamics, including aerodynamic source data collection (via wind tunnel testing, flight testing, and computational tools), stability & control analysis, and mathematical modeling of the aircraft flight physics and sub-systems for flight simulation applications. Aero engineers at Bihrle also have opportunities to contribute to aerospace software tool development, engage in hands-on projects with UAS auto-pilots, sensors and system components, and put their entrepreneurial talents to task on in-house development projects. At this time, we are looking for an aerospace engineering professional with a focus in aircraft flight dynamics and an interest in contributing to the development of full-envelope aerodynamic databases and advanced math models. The overall objective is to extend or enhance capabilities in existing pilot training simulators.
